Hercules is one of the tracks from 1&1/2 Gingers’ debut album, and probably the one that changed most from the first voice note.

 

We quickly realised there was a slower, more intimate version of the song sitting inside the original demo.

 

The guitar part was rewritten to fit that feel and, as we went on, the song grew into a much bigger orchestral arrangement by the end. It kept the impact of the original demo, but in a completely different arrangement that suited the themes and atmosphere of the song much better.
